Grandma's Oatmeal Chocolate Chips Cookie Recipe

Everyone who tastes them loves them! They remind me of my Grandma and the family farm. She would always have these little chocolate-filled morsels on hand for anyone who dropped by and would be thrilled to know her recipe is being passed on and shared. Bake a batch up today. You won’t regret it.
Ingredients
Wet Mix
- 1½ cups butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
Dry Mix
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 cups quick oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Step 1.
- Cut butter into small pieces and soften up with a standing mixer.
- Add both sugars and cream until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time on low speed until combined.
Step 2.
- In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt.
- Gradually add to the wet mix on low speed until combined.
Step 3.
- Remove wet mix from standing mixer and add to big bowl containing oats and chocolate chips. Mix by hand until combined.
- Roll cookies out in 50g discs.
- Tray up the discs and freeze. Once frozen, bag them up in 24s.
Baking Cookies
- Arrange 24 frozen cookie pucks on a parchment paper-lined tray (4x6).
- Place in oven at 350F for 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and use a wooden spoon to flatten.
- Return to oven for another 4 minutes.
COOKIES SHOULD BE CHEWY AND GOOEY!
